Prague
So many castles. So much beer. The perfect summary of Prague.
I’ve never heard of anyone going to Prague and not falling in love with it. An impeccably picturesque city, balanced with the right amount of edgy and grime. Anyone I know who has ever visited has described the city to me as a sort of Eastern European oasis.
Drinking lots of rosé at a steampunk bar that primarily serves cheap beer is highly advised.
Our massive apartment felt like a museum but was treated more like an office.
Czechs still bear their Stalin scars. One of the most interesting displays is a makeshift bar, set in the park in place of a former massive Stalin statue. Looming over the city, this unofficial new monument of Prague is equal parts dance floor, beer garden, skate park, broken glass, and panoramic views. We went so late at night that I was without a camera, so you’ll have to imagine it based on my description.
Or better yet—go visit.
