Bali

With Ubud as our home base and Juli as our guide we trekked nearly every bit of Bali, and even a little bit beyond.

We visited many local craft villages. One which specializes in the art of batik weaving and the other crafts handmade silver jewelry. Other days were filled with temples, Balinese theatre, waterfalls, rice paddies, monkeys, rice wine, cooking classes, and of course traditional and absolutely cravable balinese food.

I can’t imagine more beautiful music than that of the Balinese bamboo instruments. I was glued to the ground at the temples. I couldn’t pull myself away from the musicians drumming away at these beautiful snd delicate instruments.
